So, is this future MacBook casing? Or just another photoshopped version of the air?
Well, I can say for certain this is from the same source as the pro casing leak came from, so I can’t say for certain it is either true or fake.
As the hinges are exactly the same and it looks just like the air, there is no question about how legit the content is, and in my professional opinion it is a fake. Apple isn’t going to make a new MacBook Air that looks exactly like the air for $600 less unless they cripple it to make the Air be better, even if the MacBook is still thicker (and we learned from the iBooks that crippling a notebook for sales of a higher ended product doesn’t work).
Then why are so many people interested in the photo and wouldn’t go well with a thicker computer? Because people would like a brand new MacBook. But really, chances have it leaning toward a PhotoShopped air. But consider, the air has the same screen size, is readily available, and all you have to do is remove the air text, thus forcing me to believe that it is most likely fake.
