Well, after I bought my MacBook yesterday, my router decided to die, so it’s gone for now, so I’m using some random connection from around here for now. Nonetheless, the MB is still awesome
Anyway, new entry, “Thinking Rationally”…
New MacBooks in September with a MacBook Air aluminum design? Rumored and believe by hundreds thousands, but where did these rumors come from and how reliable is it? Well, let’s see…
1.) Graphic designs. People who make products how they, not Apple, see them.
2.) Personal desire. If thousands of people are in a forum wanting aluminum on MacBooks (I hate the thing, I can’t see why anyone would want it on, but that’s a different story), somehow a rumor is going to come up with aluminum on MacBooks with a theory like “everything else is aluminum, why not MacBooks” and such forth which are very questionable points. The iMacs for example are featuring a MacBook style aluminum (anyone ever notice how the iMacs and MacBooks look alike and the MacBook Pro’s and the Mac Pro’s look alike?) If that point is brought up, it could be argued that the MacBook’s won’t change into an air like design
3,) Supply shortages. Yes, there are going to be new MacBooks, we all know that, the only question is when, and supply shortages don’t necessarily explain what they may include.
Why do I like the plastic design? Well…
- It’s simple and elegant. The design on the MacBook is actually newer than the one of the MacBook Pro, and you can clearly tell the difference between a MacBook and an iBook, but the MacBook Pro, aside from the web cam, latch, and track pad, (all of which apply in the MacBook to iBook revision in addition to moving the speakers, a new keyboard, and other various changes) the differences are hard to notice from the PowerBooks.
- It’s durable and doesn’t dent. My 2003 PowerBook doesn’t have enough scratches and dents on it to be noticeable from a few feet away, but if you get a good look, it’s dented up a little bit.
